Michelle Eppel
In 1984, Michelle Eppel experienced sexual assault of an extremely brutal nature. Although it left her with post-traumatic stress, loss of hearing and other conditions, she remains unbowed in the effort to help others victims of sexual abuse. In 2006, the state of Illinois passed the Michelle Eppel bill, which provides financial assistance for medical care paid for primarily by the perpetrators. Michelle also wrote a book of inspirational poetry, THE CAPE.
EVE Foundation
